What has always interested me, is the challenge to express something abstract through figurative painting. Whether it is a feeling, an adjective, or some kind of interaction between people. I believe figurative paintings have a power to embody more than what is depicted in it. The process of my work resembles this challenge of my work. I start my paintings in a very abstract manner, just colors and strokes. Then I slowly start to shape out the figures from it. I erase and lose what I don‘t need, and keep what I need. I like to use neutral elements such as human figure, nature, and simple objects. I don’t want to be seen as a symbolism painter. I want my paintings to be neutral as possible, so that viewers can find a connection of their own.
